Ribbon Cutting and Open House for BGCLC’ New Flagship Location

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Lee County hosted a ribbon cutting and open house on May 24 to celebrate its newest location, the Park Meadows Community Club in Fort Myers.

Donors and board members joined business and community leaders to tour the new center while learning about its potential impact. The Boys & Girls Clubs, which just launched a $2.5 million fundraising campaign, plans to renovate and transform the Park Meadows Club into a flagship location that will accommodate up to 600 children and teens annually – more than doubling the nonprofit’s current membership.

The interior of the 14,500-square-foot building, located at 1900 Park Meadows Drive in Fort Myers, will feature enclosed activity centers, a tech center, gaming room, central member hub and seating pods. An outdoor patio will be enclosed to create a teen center that provides a separate space for older members. Site plans also include construction of a covered sports pavilion and installation of a multipurpose sports field to expand athletic opportunities for members.
